All Set For School

Here are some photos that Faith has sent of our FOF children as they head off to school.
In Zambia, children are required to wear uniforms and shoes to school as well as provide their own pencils, paper, books and backpacks. Thanks to all our faithful and generous supporters, including a school uniform provider here in Canada that has provided us with some of their ‘extras’ which the children are seen wearing, FOF is able to fulfill the requirements to enable our 4300+ vulnerable children to receive the education that can dramatically change their futures.
I hope the knowledge of what your support means to the lives of these children is a blessing to you.
As Faith’s Orphans Fund of Canada is a Christian organization and this is God’s work, we thank Him for all He has provided through us for His children in Zambia.

Faith is Coming This Month!

The rumours are true, Faith will be arriving here in Southern Ontario on May 16. Her current schedule for visiting the various groups that have been supporting the work of FOF is posted on the ‘Events’ page of this website. If you haven’t had a chance in the past to meet Faith and hear first hand the impact FOF is having on 4300+ vulnerable children in Zambia, we hope the schedule will provide you with an opportunity to do so while she is with us…it will be worth your time!

The FOF Christmas Parties Have Started

Just as we look forward to celebrating the the birth of Our Saviour during the Christmas Season, in Zambia, our FOF children prepare for the celebration with singing and the rehearsing of the nativity event for presentation at their FOF Christmas Party.

Each year at this time, Faith and her Team visit all twenty four Centres to provide a Christmas meal and present a practical gift to each child. Faith tells us that the excitement and joy on the faces of the children as they receive their gift is something to behold.

One of the gifts this year is a colourful water bottle. Water in the rural areas of Zambia where our Centres are located, is a highly valued commodity and having your own bottle with a lid minimizes health risks and reduces the number of trips to the well.

A Christmas dinner is also an important part of the Christmas Party. The meal includes goat and nshima, which is a thick and smooth porridge made from ground maize.

May you receive the joy and blessing this Christmas of knowing how you have made a difference in the lives of these vulnerable and less fortunate children in Zambia. Thank you for supporting Faith’s Orphans Fund.
